September 24th

Jeff is away this week at New Manager Development Training. We are both very excited that he finally got in, since he has been managing for over 1 year without it! He wouldn't move the bed to the basement before he left, although the room is ready. I think he was secretly afraid that I might put the crib together without him. He knows me too well :).

In order to fill my time, I thought that I would go take a look at fabric. I wasn't planning to buy anything. I just wanted to see if there was something to match the colors that I would like to paint. However, the fabrics that I was wanting to use were on clearance and then half off that!! What luck! So, I picked up the fabric for the crib skirt, the curtains and the bumpers. I am steering clear of making sheets and a quilt. From what I read, you really aren't supposed to use a quilt anyway.

The general colors are below. I am using the spotted fabric on the curtains (as shown) and the crib skirt. And for the bumper, I will be using the fabric they used on the quilt.

  1. Susie Q,
I love the baby's room! Those colors are so cute for a little boy and it still goes with the colors and theme of the rest of the house. I'm so excited for you and Jeff. You two will make great parents. And remember, I'm only a few miles away, so when you guys want to let your hair down, I'd love to spoil little Bergie! Love ya, Nancy

  2. Hey guys,
Love the website...what a great idea! I'm glad you went with the walnut, why make yourself crazy? Don't make too much stuff, there won't be anything left for us to buy! :)
